Mineralogy and Geology of Aventurine
Aventurine is a name used for several different minerals, as well as synthetic sparkly glasses (like goldstone (add link) and blue goldstone). Usually aventurine is a type of green quartz with inter-grown mica or hematite giving a sparkly appearance. The name "aventurine" is also used for some feldspars that contain sparkly inclusions.

Green aventurine is often used for the heart chakra for activating, clearing and protecting. This stone adds balance and reinforces motivation and decisiveness. It can be used in ceremony to connect with the light of the heart chakra. It is a good all-around healing stone.
