These fossil fish teeth somewhat resemble human molars. The fossil specimen is of Mylocheilus robustus, an American cyprinid fish - unique in the possession of large molariform mollusk-crushing pharyngeal teeth. These teeth are from the Pliocene (about 5 million years old) rocks of Owyhee County, Idaho. The specimen consists of a partial jaw bone with teeth.

Miniature specimen: About 0.9" x 0.5" x 0.6" (23mm x 13mm x 15mm)
